After protests at the Belclare project in Wellesley on October 9th and 16th, a local newspaper published a story detailing the wage theft and poor labor practices on the project.
“You can guess part of the reason he’s making a low bid is because he’s only going to pay people two-thirds of what they’re earning on the job,” said Diego Low, director of the MetroWest Worker Center, who joined Lima and led last week’s demonstration. “Our society is living off stolen labor.”
