Controversy Follows Callahan Wherever Firm Goes

by admin on December 14, 2015

Yesterday, 30 people demonstrated outside the Callahan job at 0 Penn St in Quincy (the Deco Apartments), citing Universal Drywall for not paying area standard wages and benefits.

This is the second time in two weeks that there have been protests at the site. Universal Drywall, one of Callahan’s regular subcontractors, has a history of misclassifying its workers as independent contractors, and is currently under investigation by the Attorney General. Additionally, following an OSHA inspection last week, the Callahan job at 0 Penn was shut down for a day.

These violations and controversies are endemic to many of Callahan’s regular subcontractors. To learn more about Callahan, Inc. and their regular subcontractors, visit callahantruth.com.
